Although there are virtually hundreds of companies offering creative services on the internet, most fail to provide the buyer with options without charging additional fees. DesignersContest.com hopes to overcome this buyer’s dilemma by giving buyers more involvement during the design process for one simple fee.

Businesses or individuals in need of visual creative design such as a logo, website, or ads are invited to post their needs in detail, in the form of a contest, and provide payment in the form of a cash ‘prize’ to the winning design. Registered designers are able to view the list of contests and enter a contest by submitting their concept. Once the contest ends, the buyer can review the submitted entries, select their favorite design and award the prize to the designer of the selected design. The buyer is then given full copyrights to their new design.

An added bonus to registered designers is the chance to walk away with the monthly Designer’s Pool. The pool it is an opportunity for designers to earn money even though their designs may not have been selected. The site owners created the pool in appreciation to the contributing designers and is funded based on the number of contests created for the month. The owners award the pool money to the top rated designer.

Designers who regularly submit winning concepts are also given "Top Designer" recognition on the site.
